News broke earlier today that superstar Tamil music composer and singer Anirudh Ravichander is all set to marry Kavya Maran, the owner of the Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL franchise. Naturally, fans across the country couldn’t contain their excitement as it is coming to light that the legendary Rajinikanth had a personal chat with Kavya’s father, media mogul Kalanithi Maran, about their relationship. This has led many to believe that wedding plans might already be in motion. It is believed that Anirudh (34) and Kavya (32) started dating in 2024, but so far, neither their teams nor the Maran family have confirmed this.
Whispers of a relationship have been doing the rounds for a long time and there were even denials back in March this year when Anirudh’s team described their relationship as platonic. The couple were seen dining out together and even enjoying a getaway in Las Vegas. But it looks like Kavya Maran and Anirudh are now ready to take their relationship to the next level after a year of juggling IPL commitments and recording sessions.
Anirudh Ravichander, born on October 16, 1990, in Chennai, skyrocketed to international fame with his 2012 hit ‘Why This Kolaveri Di.’ Since then, he’s composed music for major films like Master (2021), Jawan (2023), and Leo (2023), earning two Filmfare Awards South and ten SIIMA awards along the way. His unique mix of Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi musical styles, along with collaborations with global artists like Diplo, has solidified his status as one of India’s leading young composers.
On the other hand, Kavya Maran, a Yale University graduate with a degree in Political Science, has been at the helm of Sunrisers Hyderabad, guiding them in IPL seasons since 2022. She is believed to be instrumental in incorporating advanced analytics and fan engagement strategies that propelled SRH to the playoffs in 2024. It was her appearance in the IPL auction that initially got her nationwide stardom.
