Bollywood musicians Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam work extremely well together. Both artists have previously collaborated on super hits like Zoobi Doobi and Dil Dooba. In recent news, the singing duo has now joined hands for another romantic number, which will be featured as the title track for the upcoming film Humse Tumse Pyaar Kitna.
While Sonu has belted out renditions of yesteryear songs in the past, this will be Shreya’s first attempt at it. “I’ve always been a fan of Shreya’s voice. Her voice stirs you up, it has soul and depth. I’m so glad that Shreya is singing our title track,” filmmaker Karanvir Bohra said in a statement.
“This track holds a special meaning in Shreya’s life as the song that she sang on stage for the first time was Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna. That’s the reason she came on board so willingly,” he said. The single is set for release on June 17. The song was originally sung by Kishore Kumar for the 1981 film Kudrat.
Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna, directed by Lalit Mohan and produced by Mahendra Bohra and Belvie Productions, will hit theatres on June 28.
Both Sonu and Shreya also hold a strong penchant for social work. In May 2017, the two offered financial support to late Lollywood legend Wajahat Attray, when he was on his death bed. In an earlier interview, the leading music composer’s son Ali Attray said, “Singers in India are willing to pay for my father’s treatment. They said they are offering all the help because they learnt so much from him. They have also proposed the idea of taking my father to India for better medical treatment.” The B-town musicians expressed their admiration for Wajahat, claiming they were inspired by his work and contributions towards the field of music.
