Winner of various awards, Shreya Ghoshal is a talented songstress from West Bengal. Shreya has won four National Awards and has featured in Forbes as the top 100 celebrities in India multiple times. Shreya also became the first Indian singer to have a wax statue at Madam Tussaud’s.

In a recent conversation with Times of India, the singer talked about her first film, Devdas, in which she worked with Ismail Darbar. The team of the film had belief in me and I have continued with that mindset since then. People of any age can make magic with music,” she told Times Of India. She is currently working with a young singer and said that his compositions were beautiful. “Talent doesn’t come from age,” she said.

Shreya’s powerful vocals have backed many  hit tracks including our five favorite songs that we’ve chosen from Shreya Ghoshal’s massive and impressive discography.

1. Radha On The Dance Floor from Student of the Year

This very energetic number starred Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra. Vishal and Shekhar composed this lively song and it was a mix of east and west melodies.

2. Nagada Sang Dhol from Ram Leela Goliyon Ki Raas Leela

A thoroughly powerful number from Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer Ram Leela Goliyon Ki Raas Leela was matched by Shreya Ghoshal’s equally powerful vocals. It was an emotional song and Shreya’s voice gave the song its due character.

3. Teri Ore from Singh is Kinng

A love ballad that got extremely famous in the time of its release, this was from the Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Singh is Kinng.

4. Har Maidaan Fateh from Sanju

This was a powerful motivational track from the hit film Sanju. Shreya’s vocals backed Manisha Koirala’s avatar who was the source of inspiration for the reel-life Sanju (played by Ranbir Kapoor).

5. Silsila Ye Chahat Ka from Devdas

This was Shreya’s initial films and her young and sweet voice fit perfectly to Aishwarya Rai’s young avatar. Shreya and Kavita Krishnamurthy also gave vocals to the hit number Dola Re which was picturized on Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai.
