Upcoming Bollywood film, The Sky is Pink, starring Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim has been making headlines lately. Whether is it Priyanka's husband, Nick Jonas crying during filming of one of her scenes, or the movie's premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), The Sky is Pink is definitely the talk of the town. The official poster of the film was released and while many liked it, there were quite a few who disapproved of Zaira in the poster. Their disappointment comes after Zaira announced months ago that she was deciding to leave Bollywood due to religious beliefs.

But now, appearing on the poster of the film, many are calling Zaira's earlier statement as an act of publicity. Social media was unhappy with the former actress and called her a hypocrite from wanting to step from the industry, but still going ahead to promote her last film. One said, "The Sky is Pink, Zaira Wasim ki next movie. But wait, yeh tau filmon se tauba kar li thi na. Publicity stunt ke liye kuch bhi karega."

Another wrote, "Just came to know about the cast of The Sky is Pink. Just devastated about how hypocrite you are Zaira Wasim. Publicity stunt karne ke liye Islam ka naam kharab karne ki kya zaroorat thi."

Zaira made the announcement of quitting Bollywood back in June. She took to Instagram and wrote, "While I continued to work in an environment that consistently interferes with my imaan, my relationship with my religion was threatened. In the great and divine wisdom of Quran, I found sufficiency and peace. I began to heavily rely upon Allah's mercy for my help and guidance instead of valuing my own believability."

The former actress started her career in 2016 with Dangal opposite superstar Aamir Khan and Fatima Sana Shaikh. In 2017, she reunited with Aamir for Secret Superstar. The Sky is Pink will mark her third film in Bollywood. She is also reportedly a part of an upcoming film called Pashmeena.
