Here’s some great news for all the John Abraham fans out there. The actor has taken on a new project, and it sounds exciting to say the least. John has a soft corner for action cinema and his next venture follows the same route.
Being an actor who likes being part of films based on real life incidents, it’s no surprise that John will next be associated with a film, adapted from Mark Manuel’s Moryaa Re - The Ganpati Murders. The film will be a crime thriller inspired from real life incidents- with John playing a cop.
DNA newspaper reported that John acquired the rights to the book recently, and a source revealed that, “John will produce and act in the film as a tough cop and Rensil D’ Silva will direct it.” The book is about a bipolar killer on a revenge mission who terrorises Mumbai during Ganeshotsav, with a series of gruesome murders of celebrities.
The source further revealed, “It’s a chilling thriller but there’s a lot of action and combat sequences too. This film is right up John’s alley. Rensil and him had several meetings when he was shooting for Parmanu at YRF. The actor-producer told him what he wants and how he plans to mount the film. Rensil is currently designing the film according to John’s instructions.” John will start this film, right after The Invisible Guest remake.”
Sounds interesting, right? John is currently busy working on Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, under his own production house. The film is based on Pokhran-II, the series of five nuclear bomb test explosions conducted in Rajasthan in 1998. It stars Diana Penty, Boman Irani along with Abraham and is slated to release on 8 December this year. And, we can’t wait!
