In order to secure an entire floor to himself, Akshay Kumar has bought four sprawling apartments in Mumbai's Andheri area. This is the largest private property acquisition by a Bollywood star in India this year. The four apartments are on the 21st floor of 38-storey Transcon Triumph, located off Andheri Link Road. The flats, measuring 2,200 sq ft each and registered in the name of Akshay Kumar Bhatia, cost Rs 4.5 crore each.
This basically means he has bought 8800 square feet at a cost price of Rs 18 crores which is quite a steal according to property experts, perhaps one of the reasons why invested in a four flats. The taxes on them have not been calculated. A source at the property registration office in Bandra has confirmed all the development regarding this property.
Akshay Kumar currently resides in a sea-facing duplex apartment in Juhu. He owns a flat in Lokhandwala and a duplex in Bandra, and bought a Portuguese-style villa at Casa de Sol in Goa's Anjuna a few years ago.
This also makes Akshay Kumar one of the largest private holders of property in Mumbai area, regarded as one of the costliest cities in the world.
