Bollywood actress and author Soha Ali Khan has had a good run in the industry with films such as Rang De Basanti, Tum Mile and Go Goa Gone. But the actress hasn’t been seen on screen too often. In 2017, she published her first book, The Perils of Being Moderately Famous – as she belongs to a family full of film and sports stars. The same year, she gave birth to her first child – a daughter Inaaya and she and her husband, Kunal Khemmu were overjoyed. Ever since, Soha has been very active on social media and often talks about parenting.

This time around, in honour of World’s Children Day, the actress shared that she feels Bollywood should have more films for children. Soha explained, “In Hollywood, they have made films like Baby's Day Out and the Harry Potter series where they show subjects that revolve around children, and children play lead roles in these films. But that doesn't happen here in India. We have made films like Chillar Party and Taare Zameen Par. I think we should make more films based on children because we have the audience. India is very young country. I think like we used to say there should be women in cinema, and now that has started to happen. I think people are going to start taking children seriously. I take my child very seriously.”

In an earlier interview, Soha had shared that a lot changed ever since her daughter was born, adding that she had to change most of her habits. Soha had stated, “Since I do not want Inaaya to watch TV or stick around the mobile phone, I have stopped watching TV in the day time, especially when she is around. Children always tend to imitate everything that we are doing in front of them. I think parenthood brought a certain change of habits in my daily days.”
