International Women’s Day, which falls on 8 March every year, is a global day for celebrating various achievements of women worldwide in different walks of life and promoting gender equality. Many events are hosted globally as part of Women’s Day celebrations and ladies also get a chance to avail different discounts and offers on food, spa treatments, beauty and fashion products, and so on. This day is also very important in Dubai’s annual event calendar, with many restaurants, spas and other businesses offering many attractive deals to women. Here’s a list of special offers and events for International Women’s Day 2020 in Dubai:
Burger Deals at Spark By Caramel
What: This restaurant in DIFC is celebrating strong women by offering a complimentary signature beverage to them on Women’s Day. Those who visit with their girlfriends will get a buy-one-get-one on Spark’s signature slider range, including beef, chicken and shrimp options.
Free Dessert at Lou’Loua by Nadia
All women who walk into Lou'Loua by Nadia on Women’s Day will be able to enjoy a free dessert. They can also order from their all-day breakfast menu.
Japanese Dessert at Kaffe Bloom
What: This Asian specialty cafe in The Greens is offering all women a buy-one-get-one free on Kakigori, which is authentic Japanese shaved ice with fresh fruit cream and toppings. Flavours include mango yuzu, green tea, Korean milk and strawberry coffee. Prices start from AED 29.

Free Dinner at The Market
To celebrate International Women's Day, The Market in Hilton Dubai, Al Habtoor City is offering an all-girls complimentary dinner with every full paying adult. It will be an Italian themed night on Sunday and men are also welcome to join, with prices starting from AED 195.
High Rise Pancake at Eggspectation
This Canadian cafe is going to serve a different version of its signature pancake to both women and men, celebrating gender equality, for a special price of AED 20 only. The High Rise pancake, drizzled with maple syrup, will comprise sausage, bacon and Lyonnaise potato.

Free Bubbly at Luigia
What: Ladies will be welcomed at this Italian restaurant with traditional yellow mimosa blossom from Italy and five glasses of complimentary bubbly along with live entertainment at night. Budget friendly deals on the food will also be available throughout March.

What: For a special pampering session, Pearl Spa in Four Seasons Hotel in Jumeirah will be providing a complimentary Gold or Diamond Neck and Decollete Knesko mask for bookings of over one hour.

Poolside Fun and Spa Treatment at One&Only Royal Mirage
What: One&Only Royal Mirage is hosting a ladies’ day during which female guests can enjoy poolside fun at Drift Beach Dubai for a special price of AED 100, which includes a glass of bubbly, a sun lounger and fruit bowl. The first thirty female guests will also get a 25 percent discount voucher for a spa treatment.
Beach Fun at Rixos Premium Dubai
Azure Beach, a beachside hangout at Rixos Premium Dubai, JBR, will host a ladies day, with free entry for the first 100 ladies, who will be welcomed with a complimentary mocktail and a AED 50 voucher for five beverages. Ammos, a Greek restaurant at Rixos, is also offering a 20 percent discount to ladies on their bill.

Flow International Women’s Day Talk
The March edition of the Flow Talks Series will host a free event, Meet the Equalisers, for the public, which will showcase successful women, under the theme #EachforEqual. The event will be held at Jumeirah Emirates Towers.

Many businesses also take Women's Day as an opportunity to celebrate their female leaders and staff members. Le Méridien Dubai is honouring its ‘unsung sheroes’ this year. The hotel’s food and beverage team has 50 percent female staff members. The hotel is also recognising the efforts of its seamstress MA. Juvy Cordero Anida from the housekeeping department; of Juana Pagcaliwagan Bagui and Romana Pagcaliwagan Bagui, the hotel’s resident florist duo; and Jonalyn Papillo, Demi Chef of the Pastry Kitchen.
