With style love from Rajasthan
Check out Anita Dongre's collection at LFW that had some inspired bandni work
Mallika Sherawat may have stolen the thunder at Anita Dongre's show at Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) as a guest, but the collection was dramatic enough to attract attention on its own.
Was that why Mallika wasn't Anita's showstopper? The designer said about Ms. Sherawat: "I just invited her as a friend to attend the show." And the outfit that Mallika was wearing came from Anita's summer collection. "She was wearing a yellow organic cotton federate dress from my summer 2011 collection," the designer revealed.
Anita's collection liberally used embroidery on cuffs, necklines and yokes in glittering gold and silver. Drapes and cowls were also used with a lot of flair.
We liked the figure-hugging and sexy dresses, all inspired by Rajasthan. Take our word for it, bandni work never looked so stylish!
