Alia Bhatt may be releasing a single and music video very soon on her new YouTube Channel, which has gained more than 500K subscribers within a week of its launch
Riding high on the spectacular success of her films Raazi (2018) and Gully Boy (2019), and unfazed by the box office failure of Kalank (2019), Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt launched her own YouTube channel on 26th June. She announced its launch on Twitter with these words: “Something new, something fun, something on YouTube.” Within a day, the channel had 360K subscribers (currently 532K). The Bollywood actress revealed in an introductory video -- which has been viewed more than 3 million times already -- that she would be sharing her off-screen, personal life through this channel instead of making movies the focus of her YT videos. She will be sharing fashion, makeup and fitness tips with her fans.
A week after the launch of her channel, there are reports that her love for singing and music may translate into a video song for YouTube. The actress has performed playback singing for some of her films and has been appreciated for her work. She has sung six songs, including Sooha Saaha in Highway (2014), the unplugged version of Samjhawan in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014), Ikk Kudi (Club Mix) in Udta Punjab (2016), Love You Zindagi (Club Mix) and Ae Zindagi Gale Laga Le - 2 in Dear Zindagi (2016), and Humsafar (Alia’s version) in Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017).
It is has been reported by a tabloid that the actress, who is quite savvy with her social media accounts (with 34.4 million followers on Instagram and 19.3 million followers on Twitter), will be using her new channel to showcase her new single and music video. Further details have not been disclosed, with no official confirmation from the actress, but if the reports are true then her fans can expect something very exciting given her previous experience with film songs and memorable dance performances at award shows.
