Looks like the Deverakonda family will have two superstars now. Vijay Deverakonda has made a special name for himself in Tollywood, especially after the smashing success of Arjun Reddy a few years ago. The same has been remade as Kabir Singh in Bollywood and is doing fabulous business. But now it’s the turn of his sibling Anand Deverakonda who is all set to make his acting debut with Dorasani that will release on July 12. Paired opposite Anand in the film is Shivatmika, the daughter of Rajasekar and Jeevitha. The makers of the film organised a fantastic pre-release function that was attended by the whole cast and team including Vijay Deverakonda.
Vijay, needless to say, was very emotional at the occasion and nearly had tears in his eyes as he talked about his brother. He even spoke about how he had stopped talking to his brother after he chose to act! Perhaps it was because he was shocked to find that Anand harboured acting ambitions. Earlier, Anand, during an interaction, had revealed that his brother had burst into laughter at his choice to enter the film industry. "He laughed out loud and asked me, “Are you serious?” I replied, “Why not!” He also disclosed how Vijay warned him about how the industry functions and what professionalism meant.
Dorasani is said to be a romantic story set during the 1980s. The film is apparently based on real life incidents but not much has been revealed about the storyline yet. Vijay Deverakonda shot to distinction after his blockbuster film Arjun Reddy. The film is being bankrolled by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Yash Rangineni.
