Hailing from Haryana, Rajkummar Rao has made a huge name for himself in Bollywood. Regarded as one of the most versatile actors of the industry, Rajkummar graduated from an art school and worked in theatre in Delhi. He starred his Bollywood career in 2010 starring in Love, Sex aur Dhokha and later landed crucial roles in Ragini MMS, Gangs of Wasseypur, Shahid and Talaash. One of his most famous work includes Queen, Newton and last year's Stree, which garnered critical acclaim. And while the 34-year-old star has proved that he is one of the finest actors in Bollywood, there is still a lot more from him that he is yet to show. Here are five upcoming films from Rajkummar:
1. Mental Hai Kya
Sharing screen space with none other than his Queen co-star, Kangana Ranaut, Rajkummar will be seen next in a dark comedy. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film has landed itself in hot waters prior to its release wherein the Indian Psychiatric Society has demanded a change in the title. They said that the name of the film discriminates and stigmatizes people facing mental health issues. While no comments have been made by the cast and crew of the film, Mental Hai Kya is still slated to release on June 21.
2. Made in China
While fans still wait for Mental Hai Kya to see the light of day, Rajkummar is sure to star in yet another film, titled Made in China. Directed by Gujrati filmmaker, Mikhil Musale, the film will also star Mouni Roy essaying Rajkummar's character's wife. Made in China follows the journey of a Gujrati businessman who travels to China to increase his business prospects. As of now, the film is scheduled to release worldwide on August 30.
3. Turram Khan
Rajkummar will also be seen on-screen with Nushrat Barucha in Turram Khan. Directed by Hansal Mehta, the social comedy is set in a small town of Uttar Pradesh. Reports suggest that Turram Khan will be produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg and will hit screens sometime in 2019.
4. Life in a Metro 2
Anurag Basu is all set to direct a sequel to 2007's Life in a Metro. However, this time around, his film will be starring Rajkummar. The 34-year-old will be sharing screen space with Parineeti Chopra. Life in a Metro 2 is also rumoured to release sometime this year.
5. Stree 2
After the success of last year's horror comedy, Stree, fans will get to witness the on-screen chemistry of Rajkummar and Shraddha Kapoor once again. Currently in its scripting stage, Stree 2 is scheduled to go on floors in 2020.
