Senior women in Bollywood have hit out at a delegation of Bollywood who had met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently. The bone of contention is that there was no women team member in the delegation which called on the Prime Minister to discuss the issues being faced by the Indian Film Industry. The 15-member delegation team from Bollywood included members like Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar and Ajay Devgn. They discussed the issues being faced by the film industry. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Karan Johar and Akshay Kumar tweeted about the meeting after it was over.
Narendra Modi tweet:

The team from the film fraternity gave an overview of the vast growth potential of the media and entertainment industry. They also pitched for lower and uniform rates of GST for the entertainment industry in India, a statement issued by PIB said. However, actresses like Dia Mirza and filmmakers Alankrita Srivastava slammed the members and raised a question about why no women members were present in the meeting.
