Do you remember the video of Suhana Khan being hounded by the paparazzi that was leaked recently? Well, the clip has now caught the attention of other B-town parents, and they’re not happy about it!
In a recent interview with Rajeev Masand, when Shah Rukh Khan was asked about his thoughts toward the incident, he explained, “This is a part of stardom we have all accepted. I think the kids feel awkward with all the paraphernalia. Every time I go out in a public place, I don’t take them with me. My wife doesn’t come, my children don’t come. I go to functions alone or post they have gone.”
Because of the stardom of their parents, star kids normally find themselves caught up in the middle of the paparazzi storm. Whether its casual outings, or functions, they face scrutiny on every aspect of their private lives, just like their parents do! Commenting on the Suhana incident, Kajol in a recent media interaction said, “If something like this were to happen with Nysa or Yug, I'd be infuriated. It's sad that the Indian paparazzi has reached a stage where it can do this to a kid. What happened with her sounds like bullying to me. We are stars; it's our job to accept all of that. But to be doing that to someone who is nothing more than an impressionable teenager is harassing her in plain words. They should be more responsible when it comes to dealing with our kids. We signed up for this, they didn't." We absolutely agree!
Being a star kid is a tag that comes along with a lot of attention. Kajol went on to say, “Ajay and I are clear that our children need to have the liberty to make the choices that any regular kid their age can. Whether Nysa's choices involve being in the movies, is entirely her call."
What do you think of the whole star kid- paparazzi culture? Baby Taimur and Shahid’s daughter, Misha haven’t even turned one yet, but the limelight is already shining bright on them. Are the paparazzi taking it too far?
