Much has been written about Salman Khan’s alleged involvement in the black buck shooting case in which he was recently given bail by the Jodhpur court. On April 5, he was sentenced to five years in prison in the 20 year old case and had to spend two days in jail before finally being granted bail on April 7.
However, a whole new narrative is emerging about the case in which Salman and his co stars from Hum Saath Saath Hain, including Saif Ali Khan, Neelam and Tabu have been accused of shooting two black bucks during a hunting expedition. This story goes that while Salman was indeed a party to the entire crime, he was not the one that pulled the trigger. This story suggests that someone else from the group was the one who actually killed the animals while Salman was covering up for them.
This story has been whispered about since ages in Bollywood though the media at large had painted Salman as the main culprit. However, now people are actually hinting that there might be another angle to the whole issue, albeit indirectly.
The charity, the generosity etc of @BeingSalmanKhan is irrelevant here. What is all-important is the fact that he did NOT pull the trigger! He did NOT commit the crime. He is protecting someone for silly emotional reasons. Even at a HUGE cost to himself. https://t.co/aJLdn129WH— Simi Garewal (@Simi_Garewal) April 6, 2018

Of one thing I am dead sure..@BeingSalmanKhan would NEVER EVER harm any animal. He loves them too much. The real culprit should be exposed. 20 years is too long to bear someone else's cross..— Simi Garewal (@Simi_Garewal) April 5, 2018
Who was Simi, hinting at? Was Salman actually paying the price for a crime committed by someone else? Another Twitter user, media personality and producer Priya Gupta, who has known and worked with Salman closely came out strongly in her support
That’s @BeingSalmanKhan for you. Even though he knows he is NOT GUILTY, he will go through the protocols of jail and will only ask if it is allowed under the rules. He’s got too much self esteem. He won’t ask for a favour. https://t.co/tRBw4ErH1U— Priya Gupta (@priyagupta999) April 7, 2018
Salman, however seems to be stoic about his fate. He is clearly overwhelmed by the love he has received from fans when he arrived in Mumbai.
Tears of gratitude . To all my loved ones who are with me and never lost hope . Thank you for being there with all the love and support . God Bless .— Salman Khan (@BeingSalmanKhan) April 9, 2018
The actor tweeted this on Monday, thanking his supporters.
