Film poster for 'Kalank'

Kalank is Karan Johar’s magnum opus set to release on April 17. Set in the 1940s in the fictional town of Husnabad, this was Karan Johar’s father’s passion project. It was initially planned to be shot with Sridevi and Shah Rukh Khan, the film is now starring Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapoor. The songs recently released and with Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and dancing legend Madhuri Dixit, the soundtrack of Kalank has truly been ruling the airwaves. Which ones came out on top? Let’s find out.

5. Alia Bhatt’s Ghar More Pardesiya

Alia Bhatt’s dance to Ghar More Pardesiya was indeed beautiful but the fact that it didn’t have any of Madhuri’s moves in the dance itself made us very frustrated. The song has 42 million views since March 18.

4. Kalank Title Track

Broody and melancholy, the lyrics are really powerful but also very mood-specific. Had a bad break up? Put up the Kalank title track. The song has 22 million views since the past two weeks.

3. Aira Ghaira

Kriti Sanon dances on this ‘item number’ dressed in a gorgeous Manish Malhotra dress. It gave us very strong Kajra Re vibes. Aira Ghaira was just released recently and reached 6 million views in 24 hours.

2. First Class

Top notch music and absolutely memorable steps from Varun Dhawan as he grooves to a number that seems organic and fun. The song already has a whopping 68 million views on YouTube.

1. Tabah Ho Gaye

Last but not the least, our top favorite in Kalank is Madhuri Dixit’s dance number Tabah Ho Gaye. This one we can just watch again and again and again. It only has 12 million views on YouTube but it’s our favorite track by far.
