There are a few Bollywood actors who really know how to rile others up with their actions, Vivek Oberoi being one of them. The actor has once again landed himself in trouble for posting a rather controversial tweet on social media and fans are not happy. India was defeated by New Zealand in the semifinal game of the World Cup Tournament recently, and the nation suffered a heart break. The Virat Kohli-led team lost to New Zealand by 18 runs and has officially been knocked out of the tournament. And now, Vivek Oberoi has only been making matters worse for India.
Vivek, on Friday took to Twitter and shared a GIF for Indian cricket fans. The Gif shows an Indian fan walking down a street and a woman can be seen approaching him. The Indian fan believes the woman is going to hug him and leans in for a hug when instead, she goes on to hug another man who is walking behind the Indian fan. The controversial GIF was accompanied by an even more controversial caption, “This is what happened to Indian fans in the #WC semi finals! #CWC19.”

The tweet was shared by the actor in context to India’s defeat against New Zealand in the World Cup 2019 semifinal match. The tweet and its content did not sit well with many. Indian cricket team fans among others took to comment on his tasteless tweet and bashed the actor for posting it in such a negative light.
"Mr. Oberoi, be mature otherwise people will always take you lightly,'' said one user, while another commented, ''And the same thing happened to you while chasing your career aspirations. Let me know if any of ur films crossed Rs 50 crore profit mark. I would love to watch."
Here’s what other users had to say:
This is not the first time that Vivek has been slammed for his actions on social media. The Masti actor received major backlash during exit polls in May this year, when he shared a distasteful meme on actors Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan.
