Vijay Deverakonda is indeed collaborating with the Ishmart Shankar director Puri Jagannath for his next. Confirming the same, Vijay says, “We are doing a film together. But it is too early to speak about it. We won’t start shooting the film before Jan-Feb 2020.” While Vijay won’t reveal any more, sources say the superstar plays a hero with a stammer. The story is about how he overcomes his speaking disability and conquers all his adversaries.
According to sources Vijay was initially hesitant about the offer as he felt his style of acting would not jell with Puri’s style of filmmaking. But Puri convinced Vijay with a full narration of a script that has ‘blockbuster’ written on it. Before Vijay starts shooting for his project with Jagannath Puri he must complete two other films that are on the floors.
Vijay Deverakonda is on a high with his latest release Dear Comrade raking in the big bucks and also getting good reviews. His most famous movie Arjun Reddy was remade into Bollywood as Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor and it has turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the year. His Dear Comrade will also be remade into four languages with Karan Johar acquiring the rights for the Hindi version.
