Vidya Balan Is Excited for the Release of Priyanka Chopra's The Sky Is Pink

Vidya Balan is an unconventional Indian actress who has proved her mettle and talent through her strong acting skills in various female-centric films like The Dirty Picture and Begum Jaan.

Vidya Balan has played an unprecedented role in changing the face of the male-centric Indian film industry. Vidya Balan alone has done many films that were centered around the female protagonist. She broke the stereotype of a typical heroine whose only job was to play the love interest of the hero around whom the whole story circulated. She does not believe in running after the glamour centric image of the Bollywood heroine and instead focuses on keeping her performance strong. Many of her films did not even need a hero because the due was done by Vidya Balan herself.

Vidya Balan has recently posted excitement for Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar starrer ‘The Sky Is Pink’ which is releasing on September 11th 2019. "Ohh so excited!!"

‘The Sky Is Pink’ is also special for Vidya Balan because it is being co-produced by her husband Sidharth Roy Kapur along with Ronnie Screwvala and Priyanka Chopra under the banner of RSVP Movies, Roy Kapur Films, and Purple Pebble Pictures. In this film, Priyanka Chopra has made her comeback in the Bollywood after three years. She will be seen with Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Waseem.  ‘The Sky Is Pink’ is the story of a couple narrated by their daughter Zaira Waseem who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness.

On the work front, Vidya Balan was last seen in Mission Mangal where she played the role of a scientist. The story of a film is based on the scientists from  Indian Space Research Organisation who made India’s  first interplanetary mission Mars Orbiter Mission possible. The original achievement was celebrated all over the world because such ground-breaking achievement was made by women scientists. Mission Mangal was a high grossing and star-studded film that included Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Tapsee Pannu, Sharman Joshi, and many others in the past.
