Actress Vidya Balan, who has always been vocal about body issues, has featured in a new video to address the subject. In the video, the actress can be seen talking about the issue of body-shamming by sharing the important message with the help of hit Bollywood songs.  

Vidya begins the video by singing, “Kabhi tu moti kahta hai, kabhi tu chhoti kahta hai, kabhi tu kali kehta hai, kabhi tu savanli kehta hai, teri in baton se mera dil dukta hai, tu jaane anjane main kiyu nadani karta hai”, as she slowly turns sad and emotional. Seen in a black sari with a black and golden dupatta wrapped around to hide her body, Vidya gets teary as she continues to sing other sad songs. She goes on to speak about how jokes and trolls targeted at a person’s eyes, body, skin tone and height can make peoples’ lives miserable. Eventually, she throws away her dupatta to stand confidently in her sleeveless blouse and black and white stripped sari. Fairly sure, she has gotten the message across.

Soon after the video surfaced social media, it went viral in no time with the hashtag #DhunBadalKeTohDekho. Not only did the video garnered positive response from her fans but people from all walks of life lauded the actress for her courage and confidence.
