Vicky Kaushal has had a great run at the box office this year. Earlier he received critical acclaim for his performance in the Raju Hirani film Sanju where he played Sanjay Dutt (played by Ranbir Kapoor)'s best friend. With his war film Uri: The Surgical Strike doing over 200 crores at the box office, the Sanju actor couldn't have been more pleased. However, the high-flying actor has take an unfortunate fall as he was rushed to the hospital late at night.
Reportedly, Vicky was involved in an accident. Emergency scans revealed that Kaushal has broken his cheekbone in three places. The actor was rushed to the operation theatre where his cheekbone was repaired and as many 13 stitches omn his cheek.
He is ruled out of action for at least a month and he will have to go through plastic surgery to hide the scars on his cheek.
The accident took place on Thursday (April 18), after a door fell on him. The cast and crew were shooting in Alang (world's biggest ship-breaking yard) in Gujarat for the last five days, where the accident took place.
While filming an action sequence in ship, Vicky had to run and open a door.
"Unfortunately, the door fell on him and he was badly hurt. He was rushed to a local hospital by the crew and flown to Mumbai on Friday morning," a source told a daily.
Taran Adarsh also took to Twitter to confirm the accident.

Sources close to the actor revealed that he is being flown in to Mumbai for further tests.
