Veteran Bollywood Villain Prem Chopra to Launch his Autobiography in Dubai
The book reveals everything about Prem Chopra - from his penchant for poetry to his dating disasters!
For many Hindi film buffs, the line Prem Naam Hai Mera, Prem Chopra is synonymous with villainy, terror and sheer fright. Indeed with his lop sided grin and menacing tone, Prem Chopra sent shivers down the spine of many an actor and actress of the past. However here is an opportunity to know the man behind the on-screen villain – the veteran Bollywood bad man will be in Dubai to launch his autobiography Prem Naam Hai Mera : Prem Chopra at the India Club in Dubai on May 3, 2014. The unveiling of the book will be conducted by HE Consul General of India Mr Anurag Bhushan and senior members of India Club.
The event will take the audience through a journey of Prem Chopra's five-decade career in Bollywood through a chat with the actor and his daughter Rakita Nanda who has penned the autobiography. It will also bring to light the man behind several instances of villainy in Bollywood cinema and will have the legendary actor interact with audiences and answer questions from the invitees.
Prem Naam Hai Mera:Prem Chopra has lighter moments that reveal Prem Chopra's phobia for snakes, his penchant for shayiri, his other dialogues that are still very well known, his collection of head gear etc. The event will be rounded off by a ‘Prem quiz’ based on his life and times.
Since the autobiography is penned by his daughter Rakita, the book has an insight into the family man Prem Chopra has been. As children Rakita and her siblings had to apparently constantly tell their friends that her father was just playing the bad man on screen and was not one in real life!
