Bollywood hunk, Varun Dhawan is currently gearing up for his upcoming film, Coolie No, 1 but it appears that things may have taken a wrong turn for the actor, while the actor was immersed in shooting one of the stunts for the film. In one of the recent shoots for the film, Varun Dhawan had to shoot a stunt near a cliff on the outskirts of Pune. If it wasn’t for the stunt coordinator and director things could have turned out a lot worse.

For the aforementioned stunt, Varun Dhawan had rehearsed on a number of occasions to ensure he got the stunt right. The stunt shoot was to take place on a cliff with a car hanging upside down from the edge of it and Varun had to be inside it. According to reports, while shooting the stunt, several close up shots of the actor had to be taken. Once the shots had been completed, Varun tried to get out of the car however, the door of the car got jammed which made it difficult for him to come out. The report further mentioned that getting Varun out of the car was rather difficult. Despite the rehearsals, things didn’t go as planned.

“After Varun filmed his shot, he realised that the car door was jammed and wouldn’t budge. Even though the stunt was rehearsed several times under the supervision of the stunt coordinators and all safety precautions were employed by the director, things went awry. What followed was a few minutes of dread as the stunt coordinators tried to get him out of the vehicle. It was proving all the more difficult given how precariously the car was balanced on the edge. Varun kept his calm throughout the episode and finally escaped unhurt with the help of one of the stunt coordinators,” a source was quoted as saying in the report.
Earlier, a fire had also broken out on the sets of Coolie No 1 in filmcity Mumbai and luckily no one had been hurt then either. The film is slated to release on May 1, 2020.
