UAE Visa: New Website Launched For Long-term Golden Visa Applications

UAE golden visa is a long-term visa for investors and entrepreneurs who wish to benefit from the country’s growing startup ecosystem

The UAE has launched a new website,, through which residents can apply for long-term golden visas. This visa is for investors, entrepreneurs, professionals and researchers who want to be a part of the ‘ever-growing technology startup ecosystem’ in the UAE. As per the website, the business visa is also part of the golden visa system for permanent residents and foreigners who wish to establish their home in the UAE and will allow entrepreneurs “the freedom to explore and experiment in the UAE, while securing a future for themselves and their families."

To avail this service, applicants need to simply sign up by entering their email and a password, and verifying their account via a four-digit verification code sent to their email address. After completing this registration process, users will be directed to a dashboard through which they can answer related questions and attach the relevant documents. The application will be verified by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, which will then grant the long-term visa to applicants.

The website also has a section of frequently asked questions which can help people determine if they are eligible to apply for this visa. It mentions that anyone who has set up a business at some point in their careers, and wishes to do so again in the UAE, can apply for the visa. It also highlights the benefits, duration of the process, etc. Once an applicant’s nomination is approved, he/she will be invited to complete the application via the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship website. On successful completion of this, the applicant will receive further instructions via email on how to receive the visa. Foreign applicants will be given a six-month visa to enter the UAE and settle down. The temporary visa needs to be converted into the residency permit during this time.
