Indian movie producer Karan Johar is currently venturing into the horror genre after treating viewers and fans with sentimental movies. Last week, the pro executive took to Twitter to report that his Dharma Productions is currently securing a thriller which is on the cards.

"Dharma Productions is securing another establishment of dread. November 15, 2019. Film declaration on Monday! Stay tuned! Apoorva Mehta 18, Shashank Khaitan Dharma Movies," said a poster shared by Johar. It is pertinent to note that other subtleties identified with the undertaking still remain hush-hush and tightlipped pertaining to the aforesaid disclosure.

It has now been revealed that the film in question is the upcoming Bhoot, starring Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar. The film is said to take place on a haunted ship in Mumbai. The recently revealed poster depicts Vicky with an expression of terror as a ghostly hand grasps at his face.

A number of Twitter users reacted to the news with a variety of jokes and gabs. Check out what they had to say below!

Many quipped that this wouldn't be the first time Karan made a film that could be labelled as "scary" (but for all the wrong reasons!)

There were many references to Karan's known habits for nepotism and unrealistically glam movie fashion choices.

And once the poster and film title were revealed, users still didn't hold back in their reactions.

Other than his recent foray into horror, last year Johar took interest in a flick entitled Takht. The film includes a ritzy cast involving Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal. As per a few, the film will resemble Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic dramatizations Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.

"It's situated in the Mughal time. It's history. It's around two warring siblings and dependent on realities as we probably am aware them. Past that, it's too soon to state anything," relayed Johar, encouraging to make Takht his most aggressive undertaking till date.

Karan's Dharma Production is referred to for creating movies like, My Name Is Khan, Student of the Year, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, The Lunchbox, Dear Zindagi, Raazi and Kalank among others. He as of now anticipates the arrival of the dream experience Brahmastra featuring Alia, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan.
