Allu Arjun has gone through a lot ever since the first Pushpa has released back in 2021. He was always a star but this Sukumar directorial made him a Pan-India phenomenon. It was a film that did well despite the Omicron and Covid-19 virus and two tough competitions in the form of 83 and Spider-Man. And as far as the sequels are concerned, it was expected to break every existing record and it did. It’s that rare case where a Telugu film is doing much better business in North, thanks to the craze and hysteria.
The Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun was arrested for causing a stampede in Hyderabad that led to the death of a woman and her child and was later released on bail. Kangana Ranaut has shared her thoughts on the same.
Pushpa 2: What Kangana Ranaut said about Allu Arjun
Speaking at Agenda Aaj Tak, Kangana Ranaut said, “It is very unfortunate, I am a very big supporter of Allu Arjun ji. Having said that, you have to set an example. He has got the bail. But just because we are high-profile people, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have any consequences.”
She added, “People’s lives are very precious. Be it smoking ads or a crowded theatre, I think they (the Pushpa 2 team) were present at the event. Everybody should have accountability.”
Rashmika Mandanna extends support to her Pushpa 2 co-star
Rashmika shared a note on X and wrote- “I can’t believe what I am seeing right now.. The incident that happened was an unfortunate and deeply saddening incident.”
The actress continued, “However, it is disheartening to see everything being blamed on a single individual. This situation is both unbelievable and heartbreaking.”
Pushpa 2: What Allu Arjun said about the stampede
The stylish star wrote- “Deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time.”
He added, “I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey.”
Hyderabad police on Pushpa 2 star’s arrest
About Allu Arjun’s arrest and subsequent bail, DCP, Central Zone, Hyderabad City wrote- “Clarification regarding the letter being circulating in media addressed by Sandhya Cine Enterprise 70 MM to ACP Chikkadpally requesting bandobust on 04/05-12-2024 in connection with release of Pushpa-2. We receive a lot of requests for bandobast citing visits by some political personalities, film celebrities, religious programs etc., However, it is beyond our resources to provide bandobast for every event.”
The statement added, “In specific cases where a heavy crowd is expected or some popular personality is visiting, the organizer personally visits the police station / ACP / DCP office and briefs about the program depending upon which we provide the bandobust. In this case, the organizer did not meet any officer and simply submitted the letter in the inward section. No details were made available to the police despite this we arranged suitable bandobust for crowd management outside the theatre. The crowd was well in control till the actor arrived.”
Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar and featuring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar writings with music on T Series. The film released on 5th December 2024.
