Dhanush and Nayanthara are two of the most respected and celebrated actors in the Indian film industry. Because of their choices of movies and performances in different languages, they have been able to carve a niche for themselves. Both the actors are widely known for sinking their teeth into the characters and choosing films and scripts that go beyond cliches. Little did the fans know that they would be embroiled in major controversy regarding the actress’ documentary on Netflix. The matter is likely to balloon with no sight of the end.
Nayanthara penned a long note slamming Dhanush and the actor’s legal team has now responded to the viral allegations.
Dhanush responds to Nayanthara
Dhanush’s legal team said, “My client is the producer of the film and they know where they have spent each penny for the production of the film.”
The notice added, “Your client has stated that my client has not commissioned any person to shoot the behind-the-scenes footage and the said statement is baseless. Your client is put to strict proof of the same.”
Dhanush’s warning to Nayanthara
The note by the Raanjhanaa actor’s legal team ended by saying, “Advise your client to take down the content infringing my client’s copyright over the film ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ by using the same in your client’s documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale’ within 24 hours.”
It continued, “Failing which my client will be forced to initiate appropriate legal action, including but not limited to seeking damages to a sum of Rs 10 crores against your client and Netflix India.”
What Nayanthara wrote against Dhanush
It’s about the 2015 film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, which Nayanthara acted in and Dhanush produced. The actress has used footages of the songs in her documentary which didn’t go down well with the Shamitabh star.
Nayanthara wrote, “A well-established actor like you, with the support and blessings of your father and your brother, an ace director, needs to read and understand this.”
She continued, “his NetFlix Documentary about me, my life, my love and marriage includes clips of many of my industry well-wishers who have graciously contributed and memories from multiple films, but sadly does not include the most special and important film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.”
