Akash Puri and Ketika Sharma Starrer Romantic: Makers Share the First Poster

Akash Puri and Ketika Sharma will be seen in a film titled Romantic, helmed by debutante director Anil Paduri. Check out the first look below.

Makers of upcoming Tollywood film Romantic have unveiled the film’s first poster, which hints at a passionate love story between the lead pair, Akash Puri and Ketika Sharma. “Romance is always intense and here is #ROMANTIC First Look Starring @ActorAkashPuri and #ketikasharma. A @purijagan @Charmmeofficial Production. Directed by @anilpaduri @PuriConnects #PCFilm,” the makers wrote on social media. The poster shows the couple embracing each other while a pre-look poster released earlier showed them having fun at the beach. Akash Puri, the son of Telugu filmmaker Puri Jagannadh, was last seen in his debut film Mehbooba, as a young college student and soldier.

He has also worked in films as a child artist and was noticed in movies like Gabbar Singh, Bujjigadu and Chirutha. For Romantic, where Akash plays a slum-dweller, the actor has worked on his physique and beefed up for the character.

Romantic also marks the Telugu film debut of internet sensation Ketika Sharma, who hails from Delhi and is best known for her 2016 YouTube video, Thug Life, and other Dubmash videos. In Romantic, she will be portraying the role of a rich girl who falls in love with Akash’s character.

Director Ram Gopal Verma also shared the film’s poster and wrote, “BLOCK BUSTER #issmartShanker team @purijagan and @Charmmeofficial unleash a sizzling first look of #Romantic directed by @anilpaduri starring @ActorAkashPuri and #ketikasharma ..I happened to see a song last night and never seen a more romantically sensuous song.” Jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmmee, the film has been helmed by debutante director Anil Paduri. It also stars Makarand Deshpande, with music by Sunil Kashyap. The Romantic team recently wrapped shooting in Hyderabad and Goa, and  more details are yet to be shared. The film is expected to hit the screens in early 2020.
