Talk about double vision!
Many people claim to have seen celebrities in the most random places, like at the local supermarket, on a train or at the malls. Sometimes, it is the actual celebrity but most of the time, it probably isn’t. Chances are much higher that it’s just someone who happens to resemble the star!
While, Tyrion Lannister was seen hiding in the crypt with Sansa Stark and Lord Varys from the Night King and the White Walkers on Sunday, his lookalike was seen serving flatbread at a restaurant in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
Rozi Khan, a waiter and a Pakistani doppelganger of Hollywood's actor Peter Dinklage, who plays a character of Tyrion Lannister in the TV series "Game of Thrones", has become an overnight sensation and all the rage these days as his first TV advert surfaced the internet.
Making a smashing debut in an ad for food delivery service, ‘Cheetay’, Khan can be seen surrounded with fans, who are asking him for a selfie, an autograph or what happens in the next GoT episode, mistaking him for Tyrion.
Speaking about his dream in starring in movies, Khan said in one of his earlier interviews, "My wish is to work in movies."
Photos of the 26-years-old lookalike has been doing the rounds on the social media for days and not only does Rozi resemble Peter Dinklage, the Pakistani individual is also the exact same height as the actor, 4th and 5 inches.
Surprisingly, he never followed Game of Thrones and had no idea about Peter Dinklage, until a few months ago. It all started, when the son of his restaurant owner spotted the striking resemblance between Khan and Dinklage and took to his Facebook account to post a collage of them. In an interview with Rauters, Khan revealed that when people would call him Tyrion, he would be clueless but later found out about it.
“In the beginning, they started calling me Peter Dinklage. After that I saw his show, and then slowly, slowly I became famous. My wish is to work in movies. And my other wish is that I should meet Peter Dinklage,” Khan told the news agency.
In fact, the owner of the restaurant, Malik Aslam Pervez, had revealed in an interview that whenever Khan falls ill and takes off from work, customers at the restaurant miss him and “get upset”. When he takes a day off or gets sick, people look for him and ask where did he go? They get upset. They love him. There is always a crowd here but it has boomed because of him," Aslam Pervez had told AFP.
Khan has, indeed, become a viral sensation overnight!
