This Is The Reason Why Pitbull WON’T be Performing at the Opening Ceremony of PSL 2019
Hip hop reggae star Pitbull speaks in a Facebook video about why he is skipping the PSL opening ceremony
The Pakistan Super League (PSL) each year has a big opening ceremony which brings in various pop and rock stars from all over the world. There are also the top lining stars of the industry performing at the opening ceremony along with a light and firework show and an opening match.
This year, along with Fawad Khan, Junoon, Aima Baig, Shuja Haider, Boney M, hip hop and reggae artist Pitbull was all set to make an appearance. His arrival had been widely publicised and hyped.
News began flooding in today (February 14, the ceremony is tonight) that Pitbull won’t be flying into Dubai to perform at the ceremony. Pitbull made a Facebook video where he thanked the sponsors and the team for inviting him but said that the flight he was travelling on malfunctioned. “I was very, very excited to be able to go to Dubai to perform ... but unfortunately what has happened was that it was such a long flight, the pilots took the plane for a test flight but when they landed pieces of the engine had come apart. Between the Pakistan Cricket Board, we tried our hardest to change the flight.”
Yikes. Stay safe, Pitbull.
Pitbull ‘deeply apologized’ as he took off his glasses and put a hand on his heart and said he would love to see everyone next year or sooner.
Oh well. Next year, apparently. Wonder who the PCB will replace, if at all? What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments.
