The much-awaited release of Kalank is merely days away and promotions for the film are in full swing. With a star-studded cast including the likes of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt, it is no exaggeration to say it has shaped up to be one of the most hyped Bollywood movies of the year. Keeping with the theme of royalty and regality, the cast have regularly donned some gorgeous traditional wear for their promos and they certainly didn't disappoint during a recent photo-op in Delhi. Alia, Varun, Aditya and Sonakshi were seen in some beautiful outfits in shades of gold and orange, whereas Madhuri donned a multi-coloured ensemble that managed to fit right in.
The group dazzled together in their colour-coordinated outfits.
Madhuri was, of course, totally elegant as ever in this floral gown with flowing hair and heavy jhumkas to match.
Alia showed off her girlish charm with this bright, sunflower-yellow ensemble, complete with a braided hairstyle. She gave a feminine twirl to show off her outfit.
Sonakshi was a traditional beauty in yellow and green, with her elegant dupatta cementing the gorgeous look.
Alia and Sonakshi posed together for a lovely leading ladies photo-op.
Meanwhile, Aditya stuck to bright orange for his modern/nawab-style look.
Varun looked uber-cool in multiple shades of saffron. A stylish pair of dark sunglasses took this look from traditional to ultra-modern.
And in keeping up with habits, Varun swept Alia off her feet for an adorable set of photos. The two actors have been friends ever since their big screen debut together in Student of the Year and have repeatedly romanced each other on-screen in films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and now of course, Kalank.
Alia could not seem to stop herself from smiling and neither could Varun!
But in an incredibly sweet change of plans, Varun decided to also extend his gentlemanly ways to Sonakshi and lifted her into the air too.
Sonakshi looked totally delighted at this new predicament and we can't blame her!
Kalank is set to release on the 17th of April and is directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar. Other than the film being a period drama set in the pre-Partition era, not many details are known about the exact plot as of yet, though its emotionally-powered and dramatic trailer has already set the hype train in motion.
