Tara Sutaria made her Hindi film debut with Karan Johar’s production Student of the Year 2 alongside Ananya Panday and Tiger Shroff. While Tiger Shroff had been in the industry for a relatively long period, Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday were new to Bollywood. Tara Sutaria had also worked as a child star and as a singer but working in Hindi films was a completely new feat for her. Both the girls were widely lauded for their effortless glamour and style as well as their acting skills. After Student of the Year 2 they both were offered many new films.
While Ananya Panday's new film Pati Patni Aur Woh is all set to release in December, Tara Sutaria will be seen with Siddharth Malhotra in the film Marjaavan. She keeps posting pictures and videos promoting Marjaavan on her social media. Tara Sutaria recently shared a beautiful naat from Marjaavan where Siddharth Malhotra can be seen as aiding a Muslim’s funeral. This came as a refreshing change because these days most Bollywood films show Muslims ina different light but Marjaavan apparently seems to come from a different school of thought as the song praising Prophet Mohammed suggests.
Tara Sutaria shared this song with the caption,
‘Woh maddadgaaron ka muhafiz hai, Allah sab ka haafiz hai.’
Marjaavan has been directed by Milap Zaveri and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Monisha Advani, Nikkhil Advani, and Monisha Bhojwani. According to Bhushan Kumar, Marjaavan is a ‘violent, dramatic love story.’
Prior to the promotions of Marjaavan, many rumors surrounding Tara Sutaria and Siddharth Malhotra had been doing rounds. When the two were asked in an interview if they were dating, both categorically denied. Tara Sutaria had mentioned in Koffee With Karan she had a crush on Siddharth Malhotra. However, when asked if she was dating Siddharth Malhotra during some recent interviews, Tara Sutaria categorically denied. She, however, said that Aadar Jainw as special to her. She did not confess dating Aadar Jain but said that the two liked spending time with one another.
