Tapsee Pannu is one helluva sport and a sporty girl. To prove it she has  now acquired a badminton team in the  Premium Badminton League. And Tapsee whose last release Manmarziyan fetched her rave reviews, couldn’t be happier. “I just love sports. And badminton is a sport that all of us have played at least once in our lives be it for fun.”

Interestingly Tapsee played a hockey player in her two films including Soorma and Manmarziyaan. So one would have thought her to be hockey girl. Tapsee laughs, “Yes I love hockey too. But badminton is my favourite. I just wanted to take this love for sports to a little more serious level. I am going to be a pretty hands-on owner because I know about this sport pretty well. I follow it regularly.”

This makes Taapsee one of the many Bollywood stars to have a finger in the sporting pie. Stars like Ranbir Kapoor, John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan among others have invested in teams and sporting leagues promoting Kabaddi, football and hockey. Among the actresses, it is only Preity Zinta who started the trend by investing in an Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team.

On the work front, Taapsee has had a fantastic year with some significant movies releasing and getting appreciated. She won rave reviews for her acting chops in films like Mulk and Manmarziyaan.
