Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy Box Office: Chiranjeevi's Film Emerges as the Fifth Biggest Tollywood Hit
Sye Raa Narasimha has been performing well at the box office, especially in Telugu-speaking states, despite tough competition from War and Joker.
Sye Raa Narasimha -- starring Chiranjeevi in the lead role and Amitabh Bachchan in a cameo appearance -- may break the box office record of Baahubali: The Conclusion, which featured Prabhas and Rana Daggubati. Despite being released alongside War (which has turned out to be a huge blockbuster) and highly-anticipated Hollywood movie Joker, the film is doing well in the Southern market, particularly in Telugu-speaking states, and earned INR 66 crore within 4 days. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala reported the collections for Chennai, "Oct 5th Sat - #Chennai City BO: 1. #Asuran - 56 Lakhs 2. #NVP - 28 Lakhs 3. #Joker - 20 Lakhs 4. #War - 18 Lakhs 5. #SyeRaa - 12 Lakhs."
Another trade analyst, Kaushik LM reported the total collections for four days. He wrote, "Oct 2nd releases' Day4 Chennai city gross, #Joker - 81 lakhs #War - 81 lakhs #SyeRaa - 66 lakhs."

There was a small dip in collections on Day 6 (Monday) but the film still managed to earn INR 7.2 crore at the worldwide box office.
Gopichand’s Chanakya was expected to give a tough competition to Sye Raa but failed to impress audiences. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has emerged as the fifth biggest hit of Tollywood, after Baahubali 2, Baahubali, Saaho, and Rangasthalam. The film -- released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam -- is based on the true story of a freedom fighter, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Produced by popular actor Ram Charan and resented by Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment, the movie also stars Kichha Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathi Babu, Ravi Kishan, Nayantara, Tamannaah and Niharika.
