Actors world over have to bear the brunt of a whole lot of flak that comes their way. While we do sympathise with them more often than not, being an international icon comes with its fair share of responsibilities too. Some entertainment personalities forget the fact that there are countless numbers of people out there – from children to adults – who are inspired by them and consider them to be their role models. While that may seem like too much of a burden to some renowned stars, it is undeniably part and parcel of their profession. After all, with fame comes a lot of responsibility. Actor Swara Bhaskar recently received the wrath of many social media users for alleged inappropriate comments and abuses she hurled at a four-year-old recently.

Swara fell prey to severe backlash after her appearance on the chat show Son Of Abish. She passed derogatory remarks and abusive words while talking about a child actor, ranging from “ch****a” to “k***e**.” Snippets from a YouTube video from the episode that feautured Swara has now gone viral on social media. Swara reportedly used swear words for the child actor whom she worked with in an advertisement shoot during her early days in the film industry.

The reason: Swara apparently got furious because the child addressed her as “aunty”. Swara shared she was disappointed with the shoot from the beginning and the fact that the child referred to her as “aunty” angered her even more.

Swara’s clarification: The Veere Di Wedding starlet later clarified that she did not abuse the kid to his face but instead, murmured the words in her heart. She added that children are “evil”.

Twitter reactions: Social media users on the micro-blogging site starting trolling Swara soon after the video went viral. In no time, the hashtag #Swara_aunty began trending on Twitter. According to ibtimes, an NGO by the name of Legal Rights Protection Forum has reportedly filed a complaint to National Commission for Protection of Child Rights and demanded action against Swara.
