It wasn’t too long ago when Kangana Ranaut expressed her fondness towards her Bollywood rival Hrithik Roshan’s sister, Sunaina Roshan, on social media. She revealed that the two still remain in touch, irrespective of the irreconcilable differences between the two Indian cinema stars. Kangana previously told Mumbai Mirror, “It is true that Sunaina and I were always good friends and so was her family. Now they claim differently. Yes, she has been in touch with me, but I don’t want to take advantage of her family dispute. Sunaina is still a friend but I will not hit somebody when they are down."
In a surprising turns of events, less than 24 hours ago, Sunaina spoke up against her brother on Twitter. Referring to the ‘Krrish’ star’s spat with Kangana, she wrote, “I support Kangana all through,” adding, “Living in hell continues. Gosh, I’m tired.”

Soon after Sunaina’s tweet, Kangana’s sister Rangoli Ranaut immediately came to her defence. And she made some shocking yet disturbing revelations about the Roshan clan. Taking to the micro-blogging platform, she wrote, “Sunaina Roshan is asking Kangana for help. Her family is physically assaulting her because she is in love with a Muslim man from Delhi. Last week they got a lady cop who slapped her, her father also hit her and her brother is trying to put her behind bars.” She continued, “I fear her dangerous family might harm her and we want to make this public because Sunaina is calling Kangana and crying all the time. Kangana doesn’t know how to help her so now she has blocked her number but we fear for her safety. Everyone has a right to love whoever they want, hopefully this will scare the Roshans and they back off."

Rumours about Sunaina being admitted to hospital also surfaced. However, Sunaina turned down the reports, stating that she had been to rehab for alcohol abuse but not bipolar disorder. She also dropped hints suggesting that everything was not okay within the family. "Yes, there are certain issues, but please don’t ask me to talk about this more as it’s about my family and I don’t want them to be affected further. All I can say is that I have been staying in a rented hotel apartment for the past 17 to 18 days before I came back home to stay in the same building as my parents. While I am staying in their home, I have a separate entrance and a separate floor on which I live. It’s sad but they are not even supporting me."
As matters hit rock bottom, Hrithik’s former wife and interior designer Sussanne Khan has finally spilled the beans on the situation. Taking to Instagram today, she penned, “As a part of my experience with all concerned and in my life span of being a part of this close knit family, I know Sunaina, to be an extremely loving, warm, caring person, who is in an unfortunate situation.” She continued, “Sunaina’s father is undergoing a major health crisis. Her mother is herself vulnerable to say the least. Please respect a family’s tough period, each family goes through such times. I needed to say this as someone who has been a part of this family for long.”
Kudos to Sussanne for standing up for her ex-husband and his family! We hope all is well with the Roshans and our prayers are with them in this difficult time.
