The foundation will support young people to achieve their dreams
Sushant Singh Rajput’s family released a statement after the actor’s death on June 14. They revealed their plans to set up a foundation for young talents in science, cinema and sports.
They also revealed his childhood home will be converted into a memorial for his fans. “His childhood home in Rajiv Nagar, Patna will be turned into a memorial. We will put his personal memorabilia and belongings there that include thousands of books, his telescope, flight-simulator etc for his fans and admirers.
His social media pages will also be kept active for fans, “From now we intend to maintain his Instagram, Twitter and Facebook page as [a] legacy account to keep his memories alive.”
The family reflect on Rajput’s character, “The world’s Sushant Singh Rajput was simply Gulshan (Garden) to us. He was free-spirited, talkative and incredibly bright. He was curious about just everything. He dreamed without restraints, and chased those dreams with the heart of a lion.”
Rajput’s death has sparked a debate on social media on nepotism in Bollywood with many celebrities joining in the conversation. There have been several calls for a CBI enquiry into his death, with many fans suspecting foul play.
