Super 30 Box Office Collection Day 2: Hrithik Roshan-starrer Records Massive Growth and Collects Nearly INR 30 Crores

Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30, based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar, has been accepted and appreciated by the audience. Here’s a look at Day 2 earnings.

Biographical-drama film Super 30 -- starring Hrithik Roshan in the role of award-winning mathematician Anand Kumar -- seems to have been a hit with the audience, going by the current box office numbers. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film has been receiving positive feedback from Bollywood celebs as well as the masses, especially for Hrithik’s performance.

The movie, which was released on 12th July, had a good start earning approximately INR 11 crore on its first day, which made it Hrithik’s fourth highest opener. The film did even better on Saturday, with numbers going up significantly by 50-55 percent, earning around INR 18 crore on Saturday. The growth in numbers came from centres where occupancy had been low on the first day. So far the film has performed the best in the South (Nizam / Andhra and Mysore). Super 30 has also done well at the worldwide box office, making INR 6.18 crore in North America, Middle East, UK and other regions combined.

Box Office Results:
Friday - INR 11,75,00,000

Saturday - INR 18,00,00,000

TOTAL - INR 29,75,00,000

Film trade analyst, Taran Adarsh tweeted more details:

It is expected that the film will continue to perform well on Day 3 (Sunday), with expectations of the film earning a total of 35-50 crore in weekend business. However the real test will start from Monday, the beginning of the week. In order to compete with the collections of Shahid Kapoor’s recent blockbuster, Kabir Singh, which is still going strong at the box office, Super 30 will need to maintain its pace during the upcoming weeks.
