Winter is all about layering and come summer, all you want to do is to get rid of them. But what if we told you there was a way to save yourself the guilt of packing away those purchases? Let’s call it operation #Summer-ize.
HERE’S HOW IT GOES:
- Pull out those winter boots, leather jackets and chunky sweaters, lining them up in front of you to know what you’re dealing with.
- Do a little research on what’s trending this summer. For now, we’re latching onto those flirty frocks and skirts doing the rounds!
LET’S GET STARTED:
A winter favourite, we’re sure you have these in more than one colour and style! Pick a neutral coloured one and summer, set, go! Push up the sleeves (as high as you can go), and wear it tucked in, with a lace skirt, pair of black culottes or denim shorts. Finish the look with a pair of white sneakers or floral printed wedges and you’re summer ready!
Who EVER goes through winter without a pair of Dr. Marten inspired tie up boots! Even though they might seem like a complete no-go in the summer, there’s always a way around it, and we have one for you. It’s time to flaunt those open-back dresses, flirty frocks and cute two- pieces! Whether you own snow boots, stiletto heeled ankle highs or cute booties, there’s a dress to fit all! The only exception here are the UGG inspired sheepskin boots.
Here again we have on our hands, a winter essential. And considering the cash we drop on these, it’s a shame to have to put them away. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be flaunting them all year round! Now we didn’t say you have to wear these on completely! Ticked you? Well, not really! Wear your favourite summer dress or strappy jumpsuit and sling your leather crush over your shoulder and we promise it won’t heat you up! Also, they make for amazing candid Insta pictures #ThankUsLater
We’re all fans of cosy cardigans, and why shouldn’t we be! A key piece in the fall wardrobe, this 90s classic is the answer to all those winter blues. What if we said you could hold on to your fuzzy cardigans all summer long? Even though wearing your cardigan on would seem a tad bit impractical, don’t be discouraged about tying it around your waist for that extra oomph. Hint: for a little help with a loose fitted dress, tie your cardigan tightly around your midriff, giving the outfit some shape. Alternatively, if you own a longer cardigan, wear it over a dress of a similar length, leaving it unbuttoned and free flowing!
