The family was recently holidaying in the States but his daughters' happiness was short-lived. Five days before they boarded the flight from Newark Liberty International Airport, Sridevi purchased a Hawaain Poi Dog for her daughters. However, at the airport, the officials made it clear that the puppy could not accompany the family on the flight, as the paperwork required to issue the NOC was not in place.
How did they decide to adopt a pooch during a vacation overseas? Apparently during their vacation Sri injured her knee and the family had to extend their stay. That's when Sridevi's younger daughter Khushi spotted the pooch while on a shopping trip in the city and the sisters somehow managed to convince their parents to buy it.
Loving parents that they are, Sridevi was literally heard arguing with airport officials while Boney made frantic calls. Allegedly the Kapoor family was not aware of the regulations and paper work. However, the family heaved a sigh of relief when they were told that the required paperwork could also be done from India. Boney quickly made arrangements to lodge the pup at a pet hotel and boarded the flight. However, the puppy's resort stay will cost Boney Rs 10,000 per week (roughly Dhs700 a week).
