After a long absence from the public eye Shashi Kapoor (pictured left) was spotted at three different events in the last few days.
The veteran actor received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Ambika Soni, Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Minister, on the opening night of the ongoing Mumbai Film Festival on Oct 29.
"I thank the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image and Reliance Big Entertainment for considering my name or this award. These would be some of the most cherished moments of my life," Kapoor had said.
A couple of days earlier he attended a theatre-related press meet in Mumbai along with daughter Sanjana. The two, and Sanjana's son, also went to see a circus this week, where Kapoor was mobbed by fans who least expected to see him there.
As for us, we are deeply saddened to see him looking frail and being wheelchair bound. We can't forget the handsome actor's charming on-screen presence and all the films he entertained us with in the '60s and '70s, particularly those in which he teamed up with Amitabh Bachchan.
We wish him good health.
