Sonam Kapoor considers herself a spiritual person. She was spotted regularly at the temples during the promotions of her film The Zoya Factor. Sonam Kapoor is an avid reader and also enjoys reading philosophy and fiction. No wonder why she was chosen to play the role of Zoa in the film The Zoya factor which is based on Anuja Chauhan’s novel. Sonam Kapoor, being an intelligent actress, knew the art of film promotions and hence brought that to the table too. She gave her film promotions a completely new touch with some innovative ideas. One of those was doing vlogs as she has always remained connected with her fans on social media.

Sonam Kapoor recently wished her fans a happy Dussehra with a beautiful picture of her in a traditional avatar on Twitter.

In her tweet, she mentioned the power good had over evil.

Sonam Kapoor was spotted having a great family time just a  few days ago when the close friends and families went to the Maldives to celebrate Rhea Kapoor’s boyfriend Karan Boolani’s birthday.

Sonam Kapoor comes from a family of actors with the most prominent one being her father Anil Kapoor. The eldest  of three siblings, Sonam kapoor made her debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Saawariya with Ranbir Kapoor in 2007. It was the same time when Deepika Padukone had also entered the film industry. Today the three actors are successful and only going strong with time.

Dussehra in a major Hindu festival celebrated at the end of Navratri each year. It is celebrated on the 10th of Ashvin or Kartik which are the sixth and seventh month in the Hindu year. According to Ramayana, Dusshera celebrates the victory of good over evil. The legend says that Ravana kidnapped Rama’s wife. The two had a ferocious war and in the end Rama managed to release Sita from Ravana after killing him. Dussehra marks the victory of Rama over Ravana.
