It seems Shah Rukh Khan really isn't keen on working with Sonam Kapoor as the actress reportedly reached out to him only to be met with no response. While several prominent actresses who are Sonam's contemporaries such as Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt have already worked with King Khan, the Neerja actress seems to be getting more and more impatient to get her turn. “She is Aanand L Rai’s favourite actress and he wanted to cast her in his next, where Khan plays a dwarf. Katrina has already been signed for one role in the film, and another actress is yet to be cast. It is learnt that she even messaged SRK. Sonam feels pretty deflated that he doesn’t share her excitement about working together. Now, the actress has given up the idea of working with Shah Rukh with grace and feels if he wants to work with her, he will,” stated a source according to a report on Pinkvilla.

Aanand L Rai is allegedly all set to begin work on his untitled film project that stars Shah Rukh Khan, who will reportedly be playing a dwarf, and Katrina Kaif . Another actress is now needed to be cast for a second prominent role in the film. The storyline is reportedly an unusual love story between a man who is a dwarf and a woman. The report also states that the filmmaker is flying out to Meerut, a small town in Uttar Pradesh, today and will be there for the next five days finalising shoot locations.

“Certain parts of the film are set in Meerut so Aanand will spend some time there to familiarise himself with the culture and the people. The film is expected to start rolling in the first half of next year.''

The same report also states that Himanshu Sharma, who has previously written films like Tanu Weds Manu and Raanjhanaa, has been selected to write for this film. When asked if Aanand is nervous about taking SRK to Meerut, the source replied, “No, it won’t be a problem. It’s Aanand and small towns are his forte.”

Let's keep our fingers crossed.
