Sonam Kapoor Ahuja wished co-star Dulquer Salmaan on his birthday, as the Malayalam star turned 33 on 28th July 2019. Along with the happy, intimate photo, where both actors appear to be laughing, Sonam wrote, “Many many happy returns of the day @dulQuer! They say the number 28 represents leadership, self-determination and independence! Guess lady luck has always been generous to you! Hope you have a great year ahead!”

Dulquer acknowledged Sonam’s post by quoting from Roman philosopher Seneca: "Lucky me for all the luck coming my way. But someone once said, 'Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity!' Can't wait to see what this year has in store for the both of us!"

Dulquer Salman -- known for South films like ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi and Ustad Hotel -- made his Hindi film debut with Karwaan, a slice-of-life movie, which also starred Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar, and was released in June 2019. The Zoya Factor, opposite Sonam Kapoor, will be his second Bollywood film.
A romantic drama, The Zoya Factor is a light adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's 2008 novel of the same name. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, it follows the story of an advertising executive Zoya Solanki (played by Sonam), who is in a relationship with Indian team captain, Nikhil Khoda (played by Dulquer), who doesn’t believe in luck or superstitions. However, Zoya becomes a lucky charm for the Indian Cricket team during the 2011 Cricket World Cup. The film, produced by Fox Star Studios, Pooja Shetty Deora and Aarti Shetty, was delayed for release due to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. It is now slated for release on 20th September 2019.
