Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha's film, Mission Mangal, crunched big numbers at the box office, making it one of the highest grossing films released on the Indian Independence Day. Starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menen and Sharman Joshi, Mission Mangal marks Sonakshi's first hit after many years. With Tevar, Akira, Noor and Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, the actress' films had been failing horribly these past few years, which made her an easy target for trolls on social media. But Sonakshi chooses to not let the trolling get to her. She instead tries to focus on her job as much as she can.
Speaking of her past failures, the 32-year-old starlet said, "Everybody has their ups and downs, and that’s normal. That is how you grow as a person. I don’t care what trolls and haters say because I am still here and they are still there. I have this quality that I can shut out all negativity. It is very important to focus on my work, stay positive and move forward. If few of my films have not done well, people have not stopped offering me films. In fact, I’ve been busiest over the past few years, and I have four releases this year."
Sonakshi made her acting debut in 2010 opposite Salman Khan in Dabangg, which touted her as the Dabangg girl of Bollywood. In 2012, she reprised her role in Dabangg 2 and now, the actress is gearing up for the release of the film's third installment that will hit screens in December this year. Dabangg 3 will be directed by Prabhudeva, with whom she has worked thrice in the past. Post Dabangg 3, Sonakshi will be starring in Bhuj: The Pride of India with Ajay Devgn. She will also be playing the lead in a biopic that will be announced soon.
