Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty was the queen that ruled the silver screen back in the 90s and a brief period in the 2000s. Now, Shilpa Shetty Kundra is ready to recreate magic on the screen with her upcoming film Nikamma. The actress has been missing from the screen for over a decade now and is all set to make her Bollywood comeback after 13 years. Shilpa Shetty, who is rather excited for her comeback, took to Instagram to make the big announcement.

The 44-year-old actress took to her Instagram account this morning, sharing a picture of a news clipping in which the end to her 13 years long sabbatical is announced. In the picture, Shilpa is clad in a red silk dress and looks as fit as ever.

"Yesssssssss, it's true! My sabbatical of 13 long years comes to an end.. I am so excited to announce that the film you will see me next in is #Nikamma, directed by @sabbir24x7 (cast still being finalised) featuring these amazing and talented actors @abhimanyud @shirleysetia @sonypicturesin. Need all your blessings and Thank you for all the love always (sic),” she captioned her post.

The film is going to be directed by Sabbir Khan and will also star Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota actor Abhimanyu Dassani and YouTube singer Shirley Setia. The actress spoke about her return to Hindi cinema in a recent interview in which she said, "It feels great. I am ready to take the plunge again. It's a refreshing and unique project, and I am looking forward to working with Sabbir. I loved my role as it's something that I have never attempted before. I can't wait for the audience to see me in a new avatar."

The director too shared a word or two on the film and Shilpa and said, "Shilpa was very clear that her comeback would have to be with a worthy role. It's a dynamic part and I am happy to have her on board and bring her back for her fans who have missed her."

Shilpa, who has been active on small screen as a reality show judge, was last seen on the big screen in a full-fledged role in the 2007 film Apne. Let’s see what she has to offer now!
