The ceremony included a military parade and exercises, which received a lot of appreciation and media coverage.
Dubai Police also held a carnival at City Walk, from 10th to 15th January, coinciding with activities linked to the graduation ceremony. Speaking about the first police carnival, Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri said, “The organisation of the first police carnival supports the strategic direction of Dubai Police, the happiness of society, which in turn coincides with the government trend to make Dubai the world’s happiest city globally. It contains events and exhibitions throughout the whole week to spread positivity, motivate and employ creativity and innovation to delight society.”
He further said the carnival’s activities were the result of Dubai Police’s efforts to host recreational and educational activities benefiting the community.
The carnival included specialised exhibitions such as the Dubai Police Academy exhibition, a success stories exhibition, Al Dron Gallery, a military uniform exhibition, a penal establishments products exhibition, a heavy equipment exhibition and a police achievements exhibition. Dubai Police also organised military shows, bands, horse shows, bike shows, electronic games and other fun games, as part of the event.
