Shahid Kapoor will be seen in the film Kabir Singh which is the remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy which charted the path of an alcoholic surgeon who finds out that his ex-lover has married someone else. The film is directed by Sandeep Vanga and produced by Bhushan Kumar.
Speaking to the media, Vijay Deverakonda was asked about the remake of his film for which Vijay won various awards for his performance. Sandeep Vanga was the director of the Telugu film as well and it starred Shalini Pandey alongside Vijay.
Vijay said that since the film will be directed by Sandeep himself, he is ‘quite sure that it will be good. He added that he is ‘excited to watch it’ and is ‘eagerly waiting for it’. Here he is seen posing with Kiara Advani who would be starring with Shahid in the remake.
Vijay is a successful and critically acclaimed Telugu cinema actor and was asked during his media interaction when he would be seen making a Bollywood debut. He answered that it would depend on “who is asking and what they are offering”.
Shahid Kapoor was recently seen in the not-so-successful Batti Gul Meter Chalu. He also appeared in the superhit Padmaavat alongside Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Shahid Kapoor would also soon be seen as a producer in the biopic of boxer Dingko Singh. Reportedly Shahid would be playing the role of the boxer himself.
Vijay’s film Dear Comrade is to be released on May 31, 2019 in which he is starring alongside Rashmika Mandanna. Watch the teaser trailer here.
