Shahid Kapoor’s much-awaited film, Kabir Singh has hit screens and is already faring rather well at the box office. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is a remake of a cult Telugu film titled Arjun Reddy and has Kiara Advani starring opposite Shahid Kapoor. This marks their first time on screen together. While the film has opened up to mixed reviews, the Haider actor has been praised in abundance for his role and has been lauded for his performance. Unfortunately however, the Shahid Kapoor-starrer has fallen prey to a notorious piracy website.
The infamous piracy site of Tamilrockers is at it again! The piracy website is notorious for leaking all the major films, as soon as they are floored on the big screen. The leaking of Kabir Singh spells only bad news for the makers of the film.
This however, is not the first time a major film has fallen prey to this infamous piracy website. Recently, the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer, Bharat, too was leaked a day after its release. The piracy has not only been restricted to Bollywood blockbusters. Hollywood films such as Avengers: Endgame and X-Men: Dark Phoenix are also listed on the website. While a number of complaints have been registered to authorities by several filmmakers, no one has succeeded in bringing to an end the menace of the Tamilrockers.
Kabir Singh, who is portrayed by Shahid Kapoor narrates the story of a surgeon who becomes self-destructive after his girlfriend, Preeti (Kiara Advani) is forced to marry another man. Writer-Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga brings to our screens an intense love story that starts when Kabir Singh falls in love at first sight with his junior.
Of the film, Shahid Kapoor said, "I don't usually do remakes. Kabir Singh is the first remake of my career. We see films through box office number, like this film earned a lot toh remake karlo. But for Kabir Singh, I heard that people loved it a lot. Many people came and told me that they were really affected by the film, it was one of their favourite films and when I saw it, I felt the same."
