Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani are all set to take on the big screen together on June 21st, in the flick Kabir Singh, which is a remake of the acclaimed Tollywood Vijay Deverakonda-starrer Arjun Reddy that follows an alcoholic surgeon with anger management problems and how he finds love. Along with a lot of drama and anger-fuelled actions, the 2-minute-43-second teaser of the film features a few kissing scenes between Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani.
During the media interaction at the trailer launch of the film, Kiara was asked how many kisses the movie has. Laughing it off, Kiara told the journalist that she did not keep the count and that he would have to go watch the film to find out. Shahid interjected, "Ussi ka paisa hai."
However, it seems the reporter wasn’t satisfied with the answer, and repeated the question to Kiara after some time. This made Shahid to lose his cool and the actor snapped at the journalist for obsessing on the kissing scenes.
The actor said, "Teri koi girlfriend nahi thi kya kaafi time se? Maine kaha dekhna hai toh paisa dena padega. Yeh nahi bola paisa ussi ka hai! Woh hi tune samjha and aisa tere dimaag mein atka! Arre pappi chhod kar koi sawaal poocho, acting bhi ki hai logon ne iss picture mein (Looks like you haven’t had a girlfriend in a while! I said if you want to see it [kissing scene], you will have to pay. I never said you will have to pay only for that. That’s what you assumed. Why do you have to keep asking about kissing scenes? People have also acted in this film you know!)"
As Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani will be playing each other's love interests in the flick Kabir Singh, fans are interested to see what Shahid and Kiara's chemistry will be like on the big screen. The teaser already showed Kiara in what looks like an innocent avatar as a young girl that Shahid's character falls hopelessly in love with.
Fans are expecting yet another intense performance from Shahid, along the lines of his previous roles in films like Haider and Udta Punjab. For Kiara on the other hand this will be one of her first few mainstream acting appearances, as the actress has only been in the industry since 2014. She achieved considerable attention thanks to her supporting role in the Dharma Productions film Kalank and has a full plate in front of her with her leading role in Kabir Singh as well as in the Akshay Kumar-starrer Good News on the way.
